Services
Susan offers Craniosacral Therapy and Asian Bodywork for Children and Adults at The Tannery in Newburyport, MA.
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle hands-on technique that works to release restrictions surrounding the brain and spinal cord, allowing free flow of the cerebrospinal fluid between the head and the base of the spine. These structures and fluids protect, support, and nourish the brain and spinal cord. The release extends throughout the body.
Acupressure is an Asian bodywork technique similar in principle to acupuncture. It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body. In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians. Susan uses Acutonics, Tui Na, gua sha, cupping, moxabustion, heat, sound healing, essential oils and Chi Gong in her work.
Zen Shiatsu is a unique form of Asian bodywork that provides a profound energy-balancing experience through meridian assessment and touch. It is based on thousands of years of Eastern philosophy and methods of healing.
My practice has evolved. I only take Craniosacral clients with the intuitive application of Asian Bodywork as needed to create a personalized session each time. I am particularly focused on being available for children and complex cases, especially by direct referral. New openings in my are schedule are intermittent.
